Laurie Lane originally
came to Drager Architects with an idea for adding a second story to her existing cottage on Fox Island. After developing
several interesting schemes Laurie realized that what she really would like is to do it right and start completely
from scratch. We designed a story and a half home that is the very essence of a cottage.
As a guide we used the following
words to define the feelings invoked by the cottage form.
